Austin's Texture Specialist · S. Congress
Modern texture work for men who want natural movement, volume, and a style that actually fits how they live. No 80s. No frizz. No guessing.
Why This Exists
Men have been quietly asking for texture work for years. The problem isn't the demand — it's that most stylists aren't trained for it. They use the wrong rods, the wrong timing, the wrong chemistry for men's hair density and length patterns.
The result: frizz, damage, curls that drop in three weeks, and a consultation that never happened.
Texture design done right is a precision service. It starts with understanding your hair structure, your lifestyle, and what "low maintenance" actually means for you — then building the result around that.

What We Offer
Every service requires a consultation. That's not a formality — it's how we get the result right.
The Other Side
Tired of fighting humidity, frizz, and unruly texture every morning? Texture Management treatments help create smoother, more controlled hair with less effort, less styling time, and longer-lasting shape — without permanently altering your natural texture. The right formula is selected during your consultation based on your hair's specific chemistry: virgin, color-treated, fine, or porous.
Looking for a Brazilian Blowout, keratin treatment, or professional hair smoothing service in Austin? Our Texture Management treatments are customized for men seeking less frizz, better manageability, faster styling, and improved humidity resistance.
How It Works
Who It's For
You don't need to have naturally curly hair. You don't need long hair. You need to know what result you want — we handle everything else.

Common Questions
No. The chemistry is the same category, but modern texture work uses different rod sizes, placement patterns, and formulas designed for men's hair density and the styles men actually want — soft waves, natural movement, volume, Korean-inspired texture. Nothing your mom got in 1987.
A properly done texture service lasts 3–6 months depending on your hair growth rate and maintenance. If a previous service didn't last, it was either under-processed for your hair type, done without a cut that supported the texture, or had no proper aftercare instruction. All of those are preventable.
Because the result depends entirely on your specific hair — density, texture, length, health, and what you've put on it. There is no one-size-fits-all perm. The consultation is what separates a result that lasts from one that doesn't.
Plan for 2.5 to 4 hours depending on hair length and density. Dense or long hair takes longer. We don't rush the timing — that's one of the main reasons perms fail at other places.
Come in with clean, dry hair — no heavy products. Don't chemically color or bleach within 2 weeks of your appointment. Come with photos of the texture you want. That's it.
Possibly, but it depends on the condition of your hair and what type of color was used. This is exactly why the consultation exists. We assess your hair health before committing to any service — we won't do work that will damage your hair.
The site name is intentionally pointed at a gap in the market — men who want texture work and can't find someone who specializes in it. But texture design has no gender. If you want the result and your hair can take it, we can talk.
